"I’m honored to have been selected as a finalist for this prestigious award"

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Invaluable, the world’s leading online live auction marketplace, announced that Invaluable CEO Rob Weisberg has been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2015 Award. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Weisberg was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.

Weisberg joined Invaluable in October 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer shortly thereafter. With a passion for revolutionizing the live auction industry, he has delivered unparalleled consumer marketing expertise and valuable digital and mobile technology to the market.

“I’m honored to have been selected as a finalist for this prestigious award,” said Weisberg. “On behalf of the entire team here at Invaluable, we are extremely grateful for the recognition as we continue our mission to scale the live auction industry. Continued innovation is key to our success, and I look forward to growing the momentum as we continue to enhance our offerings and grow our team.”

Under Weisberg’s leadership, the company rebranded from Artfact to Invaluable in 2013, including the launch of a new website designed to provide an enhanced user experience. The company also launched several strategic partnerships to both grow and further globalize the live auction industry, including alliances with eBay, as well as EpaiLive in China and Le Figaro in France.

In addition, Weisberg led the company to secure $33.75 million in a Series D funding round led by New York-based Insight Venture Partners in June 2014, which is being used to further extend Invaluable’s market leadership position. It is also helping the company accelerate growth, including expanding the Invaluable office space in Allston to accommodate the high number of new hires, and has been fueling investment in technology, including the company’s recent launch of the Invaluable app for iPhone and iPad.

Now in its 29th year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
